The old notion of “natural” no longer holds true, as we inherently manufacture every landscape we inhabit. with our increasing footprint and impact on the environment, it is up to humans to fabricate habitats for the animals we endanger. the indigenous has become extinct, only the neo-indigenous remains. this is not a drawback, but an opportunity for cohabitation with other species. this collaboration provides trade off of services, such as heat, food, energy, and information in exchange for shelter.
